The Fear of Being Judged
Every single person quoted in the article was coming at an angle of I'm worried that I might get judged. There wasn't a single quote from a single person who was like, oh yeah, I had lunch with someone once and they ordered a steak and I totally judged them. The actual judging, there was no evidence that it ever happens. It was only fear of being judged. And then if I ate half a salad, I'm still hungry. You just go end up getting a burrito an hour later. So I don't buy in business drinks, but business lunches are just painful.
