The Importance of Engagement in the World
I don't think people want America to be an isolationist country that doesn't, you know, when we hear isolationist, we think of a country that doesn’t engage with the world. There's other ways we can do that other than war, right? The political ways are diplomacy and acquiescence. An alternative model of the world is look. I don't have to agree with everything another party does, but in a world where I need to coexist with them, I need to tolerate it. So I need to figure out how to live with them and coexist. And that's one of compromise. That's one of discussion. It's one of acquiescence.
