In the 1500s, the Catholic Church had a monopoly on basically deciding what happens after you die. With the printing press and with massively increased income from international trade, that monopoly got challenged. And so they in a way, they were protesting the monopoly. That's where Protestantism comes from. The analogy I draw in the report is that right now we have another monopoly that is incurring a lot of cost on society. And so Bitcoin is challenging that. In terms of like the technology, I draw some analogies between how back in the day water was used to defeat large armies such as the Spanish empire.
