Jarrett was born on VE Day in 1945. He probably made his first mark in a venue called the Deer Head In. Miles Davis had him for a brief while that wanted him to play Fender Rhodes rather than acoustic grand piano, and that didn't really last long. There's no question that Jarrett had something different in the solo piano albums.
