Nautical vocabulary, it doesn't come up often. I'm not often in a cross-cultural, nautical situation but my husband loves to sail. And he likes to sail around Normandy and get up into the Jersey islands and the Guernsey islands. He's got to watch out these days. Just don't try and catch any fish. So, yeah, a buoy.
