The way that they used music in Goodfellas is all soundtrack but it tells a story at the same time. And what I noticed was at the end when Henry is driving around and he's just out of his mind on coke and seeing helicopters the way they cut the songs together is how you listen to music when you're coke out of your head. There are sometimes these anecdotes that will come out about like Kubrick's favorite movies such as McCallit modern romance with Lucian Ballard.
