Is This a Political Tactic?

The bill is so short. It's a couple of pages a non lawyer could easily read it and grasp it, and you can explain it in a single sentence. I do not trust bret cavana's promise that this is only about abortion. And i think that it is reasonable to prioritize this kind of legislative action when there are millions of people who live in red stateswho wake up every day wondering if their government is going to recognize them as their own kid the next day. This feels like a very legitimate priority for democrats at any moment in history,. Especially this one, because doma, this federal band,  is really a stain on our country and on our laws.
