The Importance of Reframing Pain

Many people who have persistent pain for a long time don't realize that they're more than pain. They often think of the outset, my pain needs to disappear for me to go about the next step. And I've worked with people who have been unable to walk because of pelvic pain and then gone on to do triathlons. That's not pain free; it's with a considerable experience of pain, but the triathlon was worth it. But if it is meaningful enough, right, that doesn't mean that it comes without pain.
