If your levels of those important hormones glute mate and noradrenaline are pretty high or low to start with the compensation that your brain has to make days after drinking is going to be more pronounced. highly anxious are more prone to rumination going over thoughts about the night before so that's another potential mechanism also if you're someone who's shy and you had lower levels of that to begin with or higher levels in some sense in some cases it kind of swings back around and can really knock you on your butt.
