The Festival of Tinechitlan
At the centre of this festival is a gathering of all the nobility in tinechitlan. They would dance together and play music, beating drums and blowing flutes. According to the spaniards, they thought it was even better than the zambra of the moors. The nobles then hear a single word shouted by a voice they knew very well: meran or let them die.
