The oldest light flying around the universe is about 380 thousand years after the big bang. We can see that now because that was everywhere in the universe, so it's always arriving here on earth. James webb will see more of them and will be able to better measure their ages more precisely. But is there a limit to how far back the james webb telescope can see, like ina 13 and a half billion years ago or something? Or can it see all the way back to the kno, th when the fr universe first became transparent?"
