Investing in Europe, Are There Any Differences?
Europe is a great geography and quite homogeneous in some senses. But you need to be very careful as you operate across europe, to make sure that you're cognizant of the cultural environment. So selling insurance in germany is completely different to selling insurance in the uk or in den. The type of financing the business is want in germanY is completely different than it is in sweden and in the uK. And part of what we're trying to work out every time we make an investment is how portable is the validation that a company's got inside its home geography across europe.
