Is Your First Pen Name Jane Gault?

I don't see as many pen names anymore. It doesn't seem like it's much of a thing, is that true and B? Why is that? I think the reason we don't have a lot of pen names is partly the reason that the New York Times thought that it was worthwhile to out Scott Alexander. Journalists have a very, very, very strong bias towards not allowing an anonymity.
