D&D eventually catches up to Snake Pipalo, but Snake Pipalo was also a really important template being stamped out at the same time. There's so much more going on in Snake Pipalo that touches on actual ideas of like ecology. And by going through it, you learn stuff about the events that happen there and that figure into the larger world. I'm not saying that one is better than the other kind of type of game. What I am saying is that you could see where the evolution was going to eventually go.
