I think there were like three important parts to it. The first was that I felt a shift when I started studying positive psychology just by doing the ridiculous things that they were telling us to do. Hope is the only positive emotion that requires negativity or uncertainty to be activated. So none of the other positive emotions really need that. But hope does because if it's not activated, there's no need for hope. It starts your brain thinking about alternative perceptions. And then you marshals a whole different energetic approach to it.
