Eric Liu: The Inflation Reduction Act is backing companies and initiatives in some of these very difficult but extremely necessary technologies. There are incentives for a technology called carbon capture, which can reduce the emissions profile we're going to see in the coming future. Batteries also getting a real boost, not just the traditional lithium ion batteries that we know about, but unconventional ideas such as rust-based battery production. He says it will have incalculable influence on our ability to build a grid of the future.
