NVIDIA has shown that they are willing to start working with the standards the Linux community is now using, especially on Wayland. "I can't wait for a fully open source NVIDIA stack," he says. There's also plans for GTK5 to possibly drop X11 support entirely and GNOME will just not work with X11 at all if implemented.
