Tolkien's War Scenes
One of the things I liked about the film was the intercutting between childhood experiences and then experiences of the war. The implication being, of course, that various images that appear in his novels came out of the horrors of war itself. That would have been a cute moment to put early in the story to go with all the dragon. Here he invents languages and still can't explain that. Mr. Director of the movie, if you can hear me, please give me a call.
