Can't Understand the Emotional Content of Speech?
There was an interesting thing that happens when somebody can't understand the words that somebody's telling them, like they get mixed up or they don't make a lot of sense. They tend to develop a talent for reading faces more because they need those peripheral cues. There have been studies of that, you know, in terms of at least psychologically, neurologically,. not certainly in the context of lie detecting along those lines. So there are people who have strokes who independently will like lose their ability to understand words, but they can still understand the emotional content of speech.
