i organized workers at a hospital affiliated with yale forty years ago. One of the leaders of that chapter said it was the first time he remembered the contract finally where they got health insurance. A woman who, you know, grown up in the deep sout and had lost all her teeth cause she had never had health insurance in her life, came up and said, these are my union teeth. i just think there is so much that people aspire to in terms of having some level of dignity in their working lives and in their life around work.
