We're celebrating Pride Month today and going back to the origins of the Pride flag or the rainbow flag as it was known for a long time. It's a story that has its beginnings in San Francisco in the 1970s, where Harvey Milk, of whom they did a film about, asked a friend,. Gilbert Baker, to design something new, something new and iconic for Gay Freedom Day. Well, my guest today is the journalist Jake Hall, who has studied this history. And we'll also be discussing The Art of Drag, which isn't about the Pride flag, but it's great nonetheless. Enjoy.
