You should have a vision of what you want your product to be at 12 months, but that should be a very high level vision. Go and do qualitative market research and understand what the potential opportunity is. Then if it works out, build a business case. Where I came from, you're making big bets. This is not like we're going to write this line of code and push it out tomorrow. It's maybe my brain and marketing strategy.
