New Type of Mold Found in New South Wales
A new species of mold has been discovered in northern New South Wales. A bush regenerator named Donovan Teal was out collecting fungi when he came across a mold he hadn't seen before. He sent the specimen to the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries who tested it. They discovered the mold was a brand new species that feeds off another type of fungi that eats insects. The new mold was named Penicillium Tealie after Donovan's last name teal.
