Galileo thought that the earth was in motion, slashing and revolving, caused this tidal phenomenon. He didn't have computers or text books just give him the answers. The fact that he had to think about it, come up with ideas, try to prove it is more intelligence than i can explain why the earth rotates around the sun. And for us the frontiers of innovation and science are so far advanced,. It's very easy to be intellectually lazy and not really build on them.
