Warcard bought a whole series of companies across Asia. They would pay, say, 10 million euros for it and then announce to the stock market that they had bought a tremendous business worth 50 million euros. So one of the ways you can solve that problem as a fraudster is to spend your fake cash. And so this is what it looked like Wirecard was doing from about 2010 onwards. The interesting thing is who believed the hot air?
