The Importance of Elders in the Church

I would not say there should be a minimum number, basically. And you're not going to set a maximum number either? Certainly not. I think the biblical pattern of a plurality actually makes discipling men into eldership kind of a trajectory for what we're doing week to week in our relationships with each other. Many times I've asked a young man in the church, if you're still here in five years, it helped me understand why you would not be an older. That probably is the best single question I've had as far as like a golf club, a good one to use.
