The Assassination of the Archduke of Sarievo

Archduke franz ferdinand was the heir to the austrian throne. In june 19 14 he embarked on a good will tour of sarievo, capital of the oso recently annexed by the hapsburgs. The response to this tour was mixed - catholic croat population were happy with annexation but moslem population weren't so sure. Serb nationalist group black hand decided to assassinate the archduke and his wife. By pure coincidence, they stopped right next to one of the assassins. He stepped forward, pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots into the car,. hitting both the archduce and his wife, killing them.
