How to Keep the Ama Together After the Loss of the Prophet
First four caliphs who followed after mohammed, abu baker, umar utman and ali, were all close friends and relations of the prophet himself. They gained that they enjoyed a certain degree of legitimacy and authority from their own personal relationship to mohammed. And collectively, they've been called the rashi don, the righteous or rightly guided caliphs. All of these later three who fell after abu baker were all assassinatedright? So there was not a lot of unity in consensus around a who should lead the the ama and how.
