The Importance of Prophecy
Prophecy and divination is where you say, when this happens, then that happens next. When the sun goes into eclipse, then a nation goes to war. When the entrails come out red, then you fall in love. That's the structure of prophecy and divination. Magic is taking that structure and using it to change the causes so that you change the effects.
