The Effects of Aging on Life

There are some organisms whose chance of death does not increase the longer they live. Richard Farriga, professor of biological gerontology explains why aging exists. He says natural selection declines with age because all it measures is number of offspring. And we think that aging is just the accumulation of deleterious side effects of selection for early reproductive success.
