Leicester's Diwali Is Coming, the Largest Outside of India

It's less than a month from the start of Leicester's Diwali festival. The street should be bustling with people getting ready to celebrate but it's virtually deserted. People are phoning us and they still ask is it safe to come Leicester for the shopping, Professor Gerbhol Singh says. Outside of Leicester's Asian community the disturbances have caught many by surprise. Sir Peter Solsby, Leicester's city mayor has ordered an independent review into the recent unrest.
