The Impossibility of Trying to Succeed
I think we're kind of at a moment in the art world where like the predictions that are going on there are just not tracking to the world that's happening elsewhere. I'm thinking about how different organizations, whether it's a group of people doing like a magazine or YouTube channel or museum or whatever,. Like people who produce culture, there's different ways of monetizing that work. And then there's this other version that requires philanthropy that can't be bootstrapped, it can't be crowdfunded. That's not what we are supposed to do right now.
