The Relationship Between Philosophy of Physics and Metaphysics
There has been a very active dialogue between modern physics and metaphysics going back at least as far as Newtonian and Leibniz. And so metaphysics and physics aren't connected etymologically the way that I or many people might have assumed it was. So we've talked a little bit about foundations. Where is the delineation then between philosophy of physics and metaphors as you see it? Once again, there isn't the kind of etymological connection that you might think there is but there certainly is throughout the history of modern science ever since Newton.
