Helios - Is Open Telemetry a Good Option?
Open telemetry is designed to support all kinds of signals. It's a multi-purpose protocol, has many use cases and can be used for different purposes rather than instrumenting your own code. The one thing that stands out to me is the ability to replace scenarios. These environments are today running on your laptop or in your private cloud environment. So it doesn't make sense to have all those capabilities only when you have problems in production.
