The Importance of Joy in Republican Politics

I think Republicans are headed into this election with very, very little to say about the future of the country. There's not much of a vision of the country's future that Republicans are advancing. Trump is cutting through some form of political elevation and getting himself down to the level of the ordinary person. He instills joy in his followers.
