The NFL's Gambling Penalty

The NFL has suspended four or five players in their prime for gambling. The league is looking into the matter, but it's not clear if any of these suspensions are related to gambling. John Madden says he could do away with sports betting because it's hard enough to make money these days. He thinks that this would chip away at the shield and have a detrimental effect on the NFL.
