The Tölensa Valley Battlefield
Archaeologists agree on a likely outline of events at the Tölensa Valley battlefield. At least 83 people were killed along with fewer than four horses in hand-to-hand combat. The battle began at the Causeway and then developed from there, says Andrew Hammond. Spread out over more than 3,000 feet, fighting lasted for about two hours.
