The Riba of the Sunni Schools
The rules of Riba apply to gold, silver, salt, dates, wheat, and barley. If you exchange these goods in the wrong way, then you're guilty of Riba. The Vieties took a different position on that, because they didn't believe in legal analogy. So if you were a literalist living in today's world, you got nothing to worry about other than what's exchange when those particular goods exchange with one another.
