What's Next for Cesar?
The sweet spot of Cesar was between this low and high contention scenarios. For 100 percent, we observed that most of the time you are better off with using a classical multi-paxos protocol which is leader-based. We developed a consensus framework that would allow you to switch between consensus protocols at runtime in response to the contention that it sees in the system. That's one follow-up work that we did post Cesar.
