The Impetus of Prerogative of Model Optimization
I am curious toyu feel that this model pruning is, at the most basic level, about being energy efficient. I mean, i know we're just having to guess here, but what is the impetus behind this pruning? Ya we i would probably, at this moment in time, side with the predictive processing or free energy minimization account. It presumes that the organism is always trying to reduce uncertainty, both in the short and long term. By getting better and better models, we get better inferences, weget better actions. We get better chances of survival and doing the things that we want to do.
