There's probably at least a seed of truth in this back to what you were saying. When we were creating these systems, we weren't looking ahead for future proofing. None of us could have seen that coming. Not me. I think it's quite okay to make something that is not future proof. It's not okay not to understand the depth and the consequences of making such a decision. There's no time when you want to move fast and there is a time when you wants to make things right.
