How to Set a Peep Pressure for Intubation

When I'm bagging him prior to intubating him I'm trying to get a sense of like how compliant his lungs are and then based on his x-ray. From there what I often do is like I'll set them at about somewhere between around seven per kilo of tidal volume. If the peep that I chose adequately maintains enough FRC I should not need more than 60% oxygen.
