Is Sleep a Good Thing?

Sleep is extremely important because it's one of the major ways that we can clear amyloid beta plaques from our brains. And conversely, if you have a lot of beta amyloid, it's going to suppress that type of sleep. DNA repair enzymes, antioxidant enzymes are all being turned on by melatonin and other genes during sleep. So when you disrupt, you know, our sleep is disrupted. These these bacterias, there are circadian rhythms also disrupted and that affects metabolism. It affects the way they're metabolizing foods and things like that.
