The Warsaw Pact Is the Military Architecture of Cold War in the West
The formation of the warsaw pact in 19 55 was a response to nato's highly aggressive stance, and also west germany's rearmament. The underlying principle of the pact is that if youe gong to maintain us. Troops on a long time basis in western europe, then the soviet union's going need to maintain its troops on a longtime basis in eastern europe. So now we're in a position where we have to respond as a group of countries. We're under threat, and we'll organize ourselves to resist that threat. It's not a contest of equals. O the two sides aren't equally to blame for this conflict.
