Do you think that we're doing it right when we are basing our sense of self-worth on both our own perspective and others? I get torn in between this idea, it doesn't matter what other people think, because you're human. So let's start with a little bit of self-compassion and say, hmm, yes, there are forces operating on me, within me, that are not fully adaptive or helpful,. But they are there, and I don't need to judge them to understand them. We can actually believe something in a co-conscious level, and actually not believe it at an unconscious level, or even semi-conscious or out of consciousness.
