"It's so easy to think about trade offs in a static sense where if I don't do this I'm not going to do that but sometimes it's sometimes a trade off unleashes a dynamism," he says. "I remember walking into his office and I was like I don't know how this is gonna go he's deeply religious different generation", the actor recalls of working with James Baldwin, who died last week at age 85. He adds: "We talk about him so much through his work and we talk about  this other this other side of him that I know and that I felt."
