The EU's Energy Efficiency Commercial Buildings Property Deduction and Investment Tax Credit
There's a nationwide vacancy rate in the US for commercial buildings hovering around 20% in 2023, which spells big trouble for cities that rely on offices like New York. The EU is doing a bit better in that they only have a vacancy rate of 7.4% right now according to the JLL a UK asset manager. But according to Mark, the concerns over the health of commercial real estate in the short term is not slowing regulators push to decarbonize the sector.
