Spotfy doesn't care about podcast they just think that podcasts are where they can sell better ads. The eyeballs or ears of podcass listeners are worth more to advertisers than people just listening to music. Every time you stream a song, they pay the artist a fraction of a penny. But it takes quite some time before you pay an artist the hundred million dollars they spent joe rogan.
