Los Angeles Unified School District

I went on a bus tour of of South LA, south of the USC area. We used to call it South Central. It's been rebranded after the riots. And with the uprising map, the uprising with Bernard Parks,. A police chief who had become a city council member for that part of the city. This is in 2006 or seven when I was at the LA Times. He was fascinating and I ended up riding a little bit about it. The school district basically hadn't built a school in like 20 years or 25 years, there was overcrowding. No one raised a stink except for weirdo libertarians. Right at the moment now, we're all of those buildings stand empty.
