The Farmers Market in Cambodia
On Wednesdays, office workers in the besieged neighborhood skip micro wave lunches and head out instead to the heart of the city. On days when the farmers market and the newer, less successful, antique slash flea market aren't in the plaza, united nations reverts to what it used to be. At the east end of the plaza, beween the glass windows of the fast food franchise and stairs down into the subway station, the thieves market moves in.
